This interpretation of an armchair with a low seat height is made of solid wood and thus dispenses with the softness and bulky nature of upholstered furniture. Designed for a shorter stay, it is characterised by its lightness.

The godfather of the reading chair is the Windsor chair with its backrest broken up into rungs. Here, the rungs are reinterpreted as two wide slats, while the struts for the arm and backrest grow out of the chair legs and give the design its skeletal appearance.
